The chase for the Championship has begun! Lego and Walmart joined forces to launch Lego’s latest collaboration with Formula 1.

This was a multi-platform campaign that ranged from in-store to online experiences. My job was to lead the design of the custom brand page that lives in Walmart’s ecosystem.

We had a small team that consisted of an art director, copywriter, producer, dev ops, video team, and myself as the senior designer.

Project highlights

Custom Sku Carousel. One of the challenges was to keep the page nice and short. As a solve I made an interactive carousel that contained over 50 products Lego wanted to feature in this campaign. The carousel features animations, product info, and an easy way to shop.

Animated Hero Banner. Originally this was a static asset; we reached out to the video team to create the hero banner. Having an animated intro is key to engage shopper’s interest.

Video Game. Our dev team had a great idea to make a video game for the campaign. This is available to play on the live page.
